edstudios created created some concert visuals for the Soul2Soul:The World Tour co-headlining Tim McGraw & Faith Hill. The main tools used were After Effects, 3dsMax, and Element.
“We made an effect that looks like glass shattering; you see these glass particles turning into a translucent layer that has the live-video feed of the performance happening on the screen behind the performers. It was a new and interesting challenge using the live-video feed. The second video was based off a paper fortune teller; the whole video screen was filled with folding origami shapes that moved, opened and closed in time with the music.”
